can i ask you one thing?
how can i create a system restore on my computer because my computer is always infected by some viruses specially trojans and my anti virus is not strong enough to defend it despite the way it is always updated and i am pretty sure its not a spyware
and it really took a very long time formatting it.......
hope you understand

What anti virus are you running? creating a system restore isn't going to solve your problem here if you keep getting a virus or trojan, seems like you have no protection at all while viewing websites or downloading files,if you had then you would be alerted about any problems.

No point in creating a system restore point if you don't solve the problems in the first place, would be defeating the object wouldn't it?

First of all tell me what anti virus software you are using but it very much sounds like spyware NOT a virus at all. Secondly why on earth would you want to install Vista if you have XP,give Vista a miss.

Well Avira is perfectly acceptable so no problems there,as for what you listed about Vista, all i can say it's NOT so good as you believe,Vista in it's current release simply has too many holes and just isn't good enough yet but give it 1 or maybe 2 years and it might be,XP is simply much more secure and works well.

It sound like to me that you have a case of some embedded spyware hence the reason why you're anti virus keeps telling you that you have a trojan or a virus,it would seem that you have 2 firewalls operating at the same time and that's NOT helping matters either,PLEASE disable windows firewall. Get back to me with anything else about your problem,i am a programmer and systems designer so am very familiar with XP and other operating systems.
