I'm wanting to lock my SIM card, as listed in my menu and manual (several phones, 3595 and most recently V220). When I go to "Security" and "lock SIM", I get an "Enter SIM PIN" message. I tried "000000" and "1234"; now it tells me I only have one more try, before the SIM card is locked and that will be displayed on my phone - phone can't be used. Any ideas, is it something I'm not allowed to do, or should I contact my Cingular Store?

IF the SIM code is being edited, u can't access it. The only way is to call your Network Operator to obtain the PUK code. 8)
