does anyone know if you can unlock this classic without a cable,i used to have a cable but no more, got a older friend who want his unlocked.

Around here in the Philippines, there are shops everywhere selling phones nd accessories. Even repairs them... Most of these shops have cable connectors and the proper software to unlock phones... the 3210, which used to be very widely popular around these parts back in 2000 to 2003, is rather an easy phone to unlock for these guys.

problem is, I'm not one of them... but I did get a glimpse of how they do it...

They used an apparatus called a "software king". Though, i do not know how to acquire one... but one of those could unlock any black and white Nokia phone provided you have the right connector.

I hope this does not add to the confusion... Am a newbie here...

You will need to list your IMEI (you get that by entering *#06#, or looking under your battery), your country of origin and your service provider (the one it's locked to now).

Also, you need to list the model of your phone (it should say under your battery...3210 (NSE-8), 3210i, 3210e.
