I like the music of both and have a few fave songs from both bands.

However...

2 of the Beatles have sadly passed away so they can't do concerts anymore. Did see Sir Paul McCartney in concert 3 years ago though and he does do quite a few old Beatles numbers in his gigs, so that's as close as you're gonna get to seeing the Fab Four.

Ringo is better known these days as having done the narration for the kids' tv series of Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends, plus a few voiceovers for commercials.

The Rolling Stones, on the other hand, are still going strong. But, like certain other acts I could mention, seem to charge astronomical prices for tickets to their gigs!

Yeah, that's one of my fave Stones songs!

The other year, when Forty Licks was released, I bought it intending to give it to my dad for Xmas. However, I ended up getting another cd (Jools Holland & Friends) for my dad because I enjoyed Forty Licks so much that I kept it for myself!

He never knew it was originally meant for him and was happy with the cd I did buy him, so what he doesn't know won't kill him, lol!

I grew up with both the Beatles and Stones and a whole host of other music - stuff my mum & dad liked. I was born in 73 so we're talking 60's & 70s stuff...

omg TOTALLY The Beatles! They only helped to open up rock & roll to the US and experimented with SO many different sounds!
