Yes the qd will support a 512 mmc but it will drain your battery pretty quickly so be careful this is out of personal experience

The size of card is in no relation to the draining of battery. Yes if you have too much data on your phone, then it will be bit slow, but thats it.
I am using 512mb mmc on my phone and its filled with 400mb of data and still i face no problem. So dont worry and go for 512mb. 8)

That might be because of some other reasons. May be he is listening to too many mp3s on his phone or may be his talk time is more.

Constant accessing of the MMC card does drain more battery power, thats why using your phone as a MP3 player drains the battery quicker.

pkr2u, i think your phone does not slow down because its a much faster phone than the N-gage, which is rather old.

But the problem mentioned is not slowing down with bigger card. Here the problem they are asking is quick draining of battery with bigger card. And in my opinion it should not drain more battery if i am having 512 MB card on phone. The only way can be as you said continous acessing of card.
