Try cutting and pasting all the SMS in the E:\System\Mail folder onto somewhere in your pc (leaving the folder blank) and then sticking the MMC back into your phone

then go to messaging-options-other and select MMC as your SMS storage again...see if that works
if it does, then you should be able to go to your messages and see everything blank (i.e. start from scratch again)
if it doesnt...then obviously you'll bump into some sort of error...

if it does, then that's the simple way

Cml6600, I dont think cutting and pasting is gonna work. The E:\system\mail folder is unreachable. But I am gonna give it a try now and let you know. Thanks.

Blizzardtwice, I have the FExplorer. Ok, what I did is, I have opened the MMC drive on a 4-in-1 multimedia card reader. It only gave me the sounds, pictures, other folders. I chose 'show hidden files' and then the system file opened. (that was the reason why I kept saying I could not find the mail folder Converted it into a diplayable folder. I then went into mail folder in the MMC, tried to copy paste into PC, did not work. So I went into the subfolder in Mail folder and tried to copy paste the one in which the SMS was saved. And it worked. Not quiet what I wanted for the SMS wont show all characters in notepad or in MS Word, but thats alright. At least I have the messages.

After that I formatted the MMC, and now I am able to save SMS in MMC again. So yeah, probably the index file was corrupt. After having done that, I thought "well if the index file is FINE now, then I may also be able to copy the SMS back into the MMC". So thats what I did. I copied what I had saved in PC back to MMC thinking it could now open the SMS. But although the file is transfered, nope, it wont open it. But anyhow. Thank you all for the assistance.
