Zedge is not and will never be a adult/porn wallpaper site. Period.

Regarding the definition of adult material, I think you are pretty much nailing it. A girl in a bikini is usually not considered adult material, and when I say usually, it will depend on the pose and style/sleazyness.

We will not immediatly ban people for uploading over the top bikini wallpapers - a deletion/warning will suffice in a situation where neccessary.

It is sad when people say they do not dare to browse Zedge while other people is in the room, because they might think they are browsing porn. We want to get away from that.

And finally, the most important aspect for us is that the advertising companies will shut us down if they find such material on the site, and we have not worked as hard as we have the last few years to see that happen. Without the ad income, Zedge would not exist.

So in conclusion; the immediate ban will only take place for direct nude/porn images, other milder "violations" will get a warning.

Could'nt ask for a more prompt and precise reply! And anyhow zedge can defintly do without the sleaze! Furthermore its nice to know that when im browsing through the galleries i wont find a picture of a nude shemale (and im not making this up!! saw it the other day in the BABES category under 220x176 wallpapers)

See thats why I have been a member here for so long. ksundnes and company actually use their collective heads. I think an across the board ban on porn is a requirement, its not about an individuals idea of what porn is or is not, it is about Zedge and what the site owners want. This site is in all reality a private site that allows users to visit, it is not in the public domain. What Zedge says, goes. "Artistic Nudes" are still nudes, to a 15 year old (and younger) naked is naked, porn is porn. And as far as "cartoons", a draw "breast" is still a breast, etc etc.

I'm new to the site and have taken plenty of pictures from here and i've also uploaded plenty. I understand about the advertising to keep the site going. Its just not funny when you are browsing and them wham some dude is laying down full erect. Which was on here the other day. I dont mind the bikini women. I have downloaded those also. Some things can be tastefull and others can be outright sleazy. I know its hard to catch everything especially when you get more people joining everyday. I think that you guys do a great service here. Keep up the great work.

That is true ksundes. Many people hesitate to open the main page with others around. I'm glad that you are talking this seriously. Nice to see your comments on this issue. Removal of such content will make Zedge even better and improve the browsing experience.
