I would like to give a -word of warning- about ALL these free 'unlock codes'.

First thing I'm gonna say, yes I'm a professional unlocker and I own a Samsung unlock service. I'm not going to mention it as this post is meant for educational purpose and nothing else.

These so often called 'generic unlock codes' | 'free unlock codes' are NOT unlock codes!
These are ALL -reset- codes.

So what do they do?
They do what it says, they reset your phone. Here is a list of possible outcomes of using these codes
- The code resets simlock status - all good!
- The code resets calibration settings which results in poor or no reception at all (very difficult to fix)
- The code results in 'phone freeze' or 'phone locked return for service'. Not very good but still can be fixed fairly easily. If this happens the phone is actually protected against using the reset code. This message is ALWAYS nothing more then a protection build in by Samsung to keep people from removing simlocks
- The code resets IMEI too, mostly to all zeros. This is very very bad, for some models can be fixed other models your screwed and you can put phone in the closet hoping in a few months there will be a solution or send it back to Samsung and pay big $$$ because you will have no warranty.

There are many teams (including ours) putting in many hours and a lot of $$$$ for research and experimenting how to remove simlocks from phones, so please think before you act.

Best regards,

If it's a network lock your talking about each phone has it's own code, there isn't a generic code for them!

You can always e-mail Tmobile and see if they will sell you the unlock code for the phone. There is no generic codes to remove the network unlock but there are a few people in Australia who can unlock it if you don't get the code for a reasonable price!
(a lot easier to just purchase the original code from Tmobile)
