Personal opinion... i think they look pretty kool... slick... slim... candy bar is my style...

But why it seems that they resemble somewhat like Nokia 3230...

How so ? the T630's keys were different to the T610's, the K700i which followed were different from the T630's, and the K750i which followed the K700i was again completely different..

All those phones looked noticably different to me, except possibly the T610 and T630, but then the T630 was only ever meant as a minor gap filler until the K700i appeared.

I'd hesitate a guess that the reason the K750i and K800i look so similar is because of what they're aimed at being: imaging devices.

Both phones are made to look almost like a camera, especially regarding the rear of the phone. So much in fact, that when i got my K750i last year a friend of mine thought i was using a digital camera to take his picture, he didnt even realise it was a phone until i turned it around to show him what i'd captured. This is probably why they look so similar - they're both meant to look like a Sony Cybershot.

I wouldnt go that far, neither phone has optical zoom, unlike the much older Sharp 903.

Even though the Camera Phones Manufacturers are improoving their Cameras pretty nicely as we see in the K790/k800 a first 3.2 MP camera with Xenon Flash... still i dont see phone camera replacing a conventional Digicam soon... just because of the Optical zoom... well Basically Phone cameras arent meant to replace a digicam... they are IMO like an addon to the phones capabilities to take a pcture or two... Not meant to be a professional tool n the first place...

Well i dont think optical zoom in a camera phone is a suitable option... makes the point of it being compact go away...

First off, no cameraphones are not meant to replace dedicated digital cameras - yet. However, they are currently attempting to bridge the gap between them, and eventually create an all in one integrated device.

Second, i dont think optical zoom automatically means the phone would be large and not compact, theres plenty of compact digital cameras available out there to buy which have large specification optical zoom functions.

I basically put the fact SE do not release a phone with such functions down to cost. Phones like the K800i are aimed at the masses, including such sophisticated functions into phones aimed at Joe Average would simply push the price of the phone out of his reach.
