| V800 camera problem I dont doubt you got a brand new phone, and possibly it was only released 4 months ago in your country..
..however, in the UK where i live, the V800i was released on November 2004, it had been in production at the same time as the K700i, which puts it back to early 2004, maybe even 2003. It doesnt suprise me at all the camera isnt as good as the latest cameraphones.

| V800 remove drm by removing simlock If you're buying the phone basically new, why not just buy a Z800i ? same phone, no branding, less restrictions.
If you're buying a V800, because for some reason you've got a good deal on it (second hand?) or because the Z800i is not available, you'd need to have the phone flashed with unbranded firmware, using the links Shnoob posted.

| W900i or k750i the manufacturer gives each handset (average of 8 months). The K750i is far from out of date, it just seems that way to you because SE chose not to give the phone features which would have pushed the price up.
For example, the Z800i came out 6 months before the K750i, it had a poorer 1mp camera, less memory but it did have 3G. The K750i still retails at a higher price than the Z800i where i live, even though its only a 2G phone. | Stolen theme! My Elisha Cuthbert SE K750i animated theme has been stolen by Raymondplk and passed off as his.It has batantly just been put through the theme creator software and amended for the SE Z800i. Pease could you delete the SE Z800i theme Elishacuthberta(ani) No.42928. I know its my theme as i still have all the pics and animation for the theme as well as the theme on my PC. | What would you prefer: se z800 or n6630? Unless you need video calls out of the box, go for the 6630.

| Bluetooth and infa-red questions .. That option is just a standard feature on his phone which upto now I've found no-one else with the abillity to browse and take files from a paired handset.
Sony Ericsson have the same function in their handsets. Phones with the feature are:
- T610
- T630
- Z600
- K700i
- S700i
- Z1010
- Z800i
The K750i and W800i are Bluetooth v2.0 devices. As part of new Bluetooth security features, the browsing of files of paired devices feature is no longer available.

| Need a little help To be honest, you're not going to get a phone with the specs you mentioned for that price. You'd need to sacrifice something, such as the memory card support.
The only alternatives would be to buy an old phone, such as the S700i, or maybe a Z800i if you can find one cheap enough. A second alternative would be to buy a phone second hand, such as from ebay.

if you're limiting yourself only to a clamshell, i'd think of the nokia 6260, moto razr v3, SE z800i and the nokia 7270 (though i have no idea how good it is!)
all of these fones are quite sleek and good-looking (in my opinion obviously!)
two more points before i wind up
1) don't look at just clamshells, think of other form factors too...like sliders maybe?

If you send something to a complete stranger, they're just going to say no to whatever you try to send them.

| Z800 jpeg quality Yes. AFAIK its the same on the Z800i, K750i, W800i and the new 3G series of K phones, the K600i, K608i etc.
As for the Z1010 though, im not so sure.
As i said, my Z1010 showed jpegs as good as k700i.

Do you need 3G ? if yes, buy the Z500.
If no, buy the K750i.
Generally the K750i is a much better phone with better specifications and features. The only advantage the Z500 has is 3G IMO.

Not really. Very few countries support EDGE anyway, and EDGE is fairly slow and old technology too so theres not much need for it.
