| 6230 vs e398 The 6230 is a more complete phone than the e398
yes the e398 scores in the department of display and sound quality but the speaker of the 6230 is equally good
the radio is one thing which immediately pulls you towards the 6230(cant live without it)
neither the 6230 nor the e398 will impress people coz both are non symbian and not in the league of the biggies

| E398 error When I was putting an mp3 onto my e398 the 'mp3 maker' software wouldn't transfer a certain song. So instead i just used windows to drag and drop it into the audio folder. But when i did that i got a large amount of odd files appear as well.

I deleted the problem file, but the other files stayed. Now i have a load of strange files i can not delete that take up half of my memory card!

I have it for Vxxx series and it does work on my phone but just not fully(like i cant get out of menus as the buttons dont work).So a full version for my E398 is realy needed.

| E398 mp3 transfer among others Hi fab & jezza,
thanks for the helpful replies and information. seems i do need to get a software upgrade for my e398. i checked and it was 35r, as i've read some posts...there is already a new one: 95r.
though it is still bit annoying having to connect using the cable, seems connecting and disconnecting, restarting the phone are routines to be done in order for it to work properly.
for VBR and display time out, i will take note of this one.

| A lil help with e398 mp3? You can only play mp3 tones if you have it stored to your Phone memory,
unlike the nokia 6230 where you can use your mp3's in your memory card as a ringtone, Nevertheless I still love the E398's speakers....
